CasCades

CasCades Restaurant is set on a large terrace overlooking dramatic views of the Petanu River Gorge near Ubud. People often comment that CasCades is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world, and they mean it, but while the CasCades Chefs take great pride in the beauty of their restaurant, its the cuisine that matters.

Chef Sosson, from Brittany France has worked with some of the best Chefs in the world, including Patrick Jeffroy in ‘Chateau de Carentec', a 1 star Michelin restaurant which now has 2 stars. He then worked at the renowned ‘Grand Hotel Des Thermes Marin' in Saint Malo , and ‘la mere pourcel' in Dina , before moving to Scotland for three years. There he spent a year working with renowned 3 star Michelin chef Michel Roux .

In 2001 he was appointed Executive Chef of the Carcosa Seri Negara boutique hotel. While at the Carcosa he was joined on occasion by some of the world's greatest Chefs, such as Chef Frechon from Hotel ‘Le Bristole' in Paris (2 star) and Jean Yves Gueho (1 star).

"Simplicity, heritage, quality, and consistency. These are the ingredients of exquisite cuisine. It's this I strive for every single day." says Chef Sosson , and his menus reflect that. The cuisine at CasCades could best be described as Contemporary Classic French, with great respect shown the heritage of French Cuisine, and even greater respect for the finest of ingredients and produce.
